Job Description:

GreenDart is seeking System of Systems Test Engineers for a program with the United States Space Force at Los Angeles Air Force Base.  This key role requires developing test plans across space and ground systems.  You will also lead and support testing at the system of systems, segment, and element level.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must have 7+ years of experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing for satellite programs including both space and ground systems
  • Develop and execute system level test plans for space systems (space and ground working together, stakeholder coordination, requirements tracing, etc.)
  • Provide test and integration expertise for space missions focusing on missile warning systems
  • Develop and assess plans for space systems assembly, integration, and test (AI&T), and adjudicate issues observed while executing the AI&T process
  • Advise on architecture, design, and execution and on test objectives, conditions, and success criteria
  • Support data evaluation, anomaly resolution, and risk assessment
  • Support the Program through developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) and operational test and evaluation (OT&E)
  • Support integration of space and ground systems and integration of space systems into the enterprise
  • Define, develop, maintain, and execute large-scale system test plans and overarching test and evaluation strategy documents
  • Planning, direct, and report on test events and campaigns and develop lower-level test plans for each event
  • Develop Inter-segment test plans by planning test events/procedures across the space and ground segments.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment supporting the development of test strategies, plans, reports, briefings, participation in test execution, verification, or analysis
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics

 

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience with portfolio and program verification, interoperability, or certification
  • Experience with planning, executing, and reporting on Lead Developmental Test Organization or Operational Test Authority (OTA) Organizations and related activities
  • Experience with planning and executing program reviews throughout the lifecycle of the system
  • Experience with using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Mission domain knowledge such as satellite communications (SATCOM) and missile warning, tracking, and defense (MWTD)
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02
  • Familiarity with the test and evaluation policy for DT&E and OT&E established in DoDI 5000.89
  • Familiarity with test requirements for space and launch vehicles, such as those described in SSC-S-016
  • Familiarity and knowledge of SSC and NRO customers and their command media
  • Familiarity with military acquisitions
  • Current TS/SCI clearance

 

Travel:

Occasional travel to Buckley Space Force Base and additional

travel may be required to sites located across the United States

 

Salary Range:

$96,352 - $206,189   (looking for 1 junior and 1 senior Systems Engineer)

 

Location:
El Segundo, CA  (hybrid work schedule is currently in place for this team)
